Where I Come From, They Call This a "Snow Day"

On the radio this morning, I heard that this was officially the snowiest January on record for New York.  I admit, I'm tired of it snowing every other day, and I'm tired of wearing galoshes to work, and I'm tired of bundling up to the point of not being able to move, but on the other hand...it's really kind of pretty, isn't it?

  1. It is so pretty! Last week we had a "snow day" when there was a dusting of snow on the ground and a little bit of ice. By afternoon it had melted.

  2. It reminds me of Narnia!!! While the Ice lady ruled of course.

  3. Beautiful pictures! I read that there were 12 inches of snow in Central Park yesterday... which would be a record for the most snow in a day in NY since 1871. And I almost disappeared into a snowdrift earlier...

  4. Pretty pictures. They sure capture the feel of cold. Wish it would warm up for you guys. Remember my story about living in Oregon and we didn't see the sun AT ALL--for 33 consecutive days!? Maybe that wasn't as bad as being in the snow and cold for two months. But it was bad, especially for a sun-lover like me.
